Archontiko Naoumidi is a rare example of aristocratic architecture from the 19th century. It was built in 1893 by a wealthy family from Egypt, the Naoumidis family. It is famous for its architecture as it is a mansion in Egyptian Style in the heart of Pelion, Mountain of Kentavros.
The new owners renovated the mansion with great success as they respected its history and the local architecture. Also, they added to the complex two buildings with 2 deluxe suites and four extra rooms all with fireplace and hydromassage always obeying to the local architecture of Pelion.
This together with the external heated swimming pool (available from May till September) make Archontiko Naoumidi be a complex of your dreams mixing memories of the past and the scent of elegance and romance side by side with today.
Karavos fall is very impressive and is situated near the main road.
Its waters come from a near-by spring, called Mana well Virgin Mary of Portarea- to which Portaria owes its name due to one version - St. Nicolas near the main square and also well - as the very many chapels like St. John's chapelfurtherup to Mana.
Staying in Portaria one may visit the Pelion Skiing Resort " Agriolefkes " of 1500mm attitude.
The skiing resort is situaded 12 km from Portaria and 2 km from Hania.

Four more spacious rooms complete Archontiko Naoumidi and all provide a cozy fireplace and a Jacuzzi. The crackling of woods in the fireplace on a cold winter's night keeps you company. You can enjoy your drink from your own personal mini-bar or you can request it from our 24-hour room service.
The junior suite is a two floor independent stone building located in the yard of the complex.
Two deluxe suites of Archontiko Naoumidi are distinctive because of their luxury facilities which guarantee a memorable holiday.
Every suite has direct approach to the heated swimming pool and it can accommodate 2-5 persons.
The elegant interior consists of two floors.
* Upstairs there is a bedroom, balcony and an impressive mosaic bathroom with Jacuzzi and steam bath.
* Downstairs there is a living room with a fire place.
